Giants Fan Beating Results In Around The Clock Search For Suspects

Brian StowThe beating that occurred in the Dodger Stadium parking lot in Parking Lot 2 of San Francisco Giants Fan Brian Stow has resulted in an around the clock investigation by 16 detectives and officers who are examining information from witnesses and others Detective P.J. Morris told the Los Angeles Times Tuesday.

Det. Morris said that with the $100,000 reward and publicity buzz concerning the beating that left Brian Stow hospitalized with brain damage and in a medically induced coma have investigators filtering through numerous tips as the identity of the two suspects remains a mystery. “Detectives are working shift after shift," Morris said. "When one team goes off another one comes on.”

The Los Angeles Police Department (the "Department") describes the suspects as 2 Latino males from 18 to 25 years who have tattoos visible underneath their apparel and are working to get more details on the suspects’ appearance. Captain Bill Murphy said the Department may update the descriptions.

Although many people were in and around the parking lot after the game, incredibly, no one seems to know where the assailants fled. The two male suspects may have been with a young boy and they drove away in a vehicle, although Det. Morris said investigators did not know what type of vehicle they drove away in.

Drive-Through Fundraiser Held for Beaten San Francisco Giants Fan

Brian Stow and Daughters Picture for FundraiserIn humanitarian effort, the Los Angeles Dodgers hold a drive-through fundraiser Monday, April 11, 2011, for San Francisco Giants fan Brian Stow who was beaten last month by two unidentified men seen by more than a hundred people for which a composite sketch was drawn based on information available from people knowlegeable of the incident. As of the date of this fundraiser, and due to the beating, Brian Stow, a 41 year old paramedic and father of two remains hospitalized with brain damage.

Donations for Bryan Stow will be accepted at the drive-through benefit at Dodger Stadium, the proceeds of which will be placed in a trust fund established for Stow and his family.

THE INCIDENT

Two men attacked Stow at the Dodgers Stadium parking lot 2 after the March 31 season opener against the Giants. Stow, a Giants fan and a paramedic had traveled from Santa Cruz to visit Dodgers Stadium for the opener. As a result of the beating from the 2 men, Stow remains hospitalized with brain damage.

THE REWARD

What initially began as a reward in exchange for information leading to the prosecution and conviction of the 2 identified men deemed responsible for the incident in the amount of $10,000 offered by Supervisor Michael Antonovich has grown to a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.

THE SUSPECTS

Both men are reported to be between 18 and 25, wore thin mustaches and one had numerous tattoos on his neck while the other had a goatee that accompanied his mustache. The LAPD has released sketches of the suspects.
